About

ECSCW 2018, the International conference on Practice-centred computing and the Design of cooperation technologies, will take place in Nancy (France) on June 4-8, 2018.

ECSCW is a series of international conferences on computer-supported cooperative work located in Europe. The conference series is affiliated with EUSSET – the European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies (http://www.eusset.eu/). Starting with 2018, ECSCW is merging with COOP conference and becomes an annual conference.

The ECSCW conference is an important venue for defining and further develop the agenda of CSCW research with a focus on the in-depth understanding of human practices and on the design of cooperation technologies based on such understanding.

The ECSCW conferences are single-track conferences that contribute to developing an interdisciplinary ECSCW community. The conference format aims to facilitate critical discussion across disciplinary and national borders in the field.

An overview of earlier ECSCW conferences (and proceedings) is available from ecscw.org. Accepted full papers are published by  CSCW: The Journal of collaborative Computing and Work Practices. The acceptance rate for papers to ECSCW has normally been between 20 and 25%.

The conference will be hosted by Inria Nancy – Grand Est.
